Full Moon in Pisces: September 7, 2025

On the 7th of September we will experience a Full Moon in Pisces with a Total Lunar Eclipse on the Virgo–Pisces axis.

The Lunar Nodes are the two mathematical points where the Moon’s orbit crosses the Earth’s path around the Sun (the ecliptic). When the Sun and Moon are close to the nodal axis at a Full or New Moon, we enter eclipse season. During these times, the nodal alignment lingers, creating a kind of portal in which fated events can occur for up to six months before and after an eclipse.

The South Node represents our starting point—the familiar—while the North Node is what we are meant to embrace, ultimately creating balance between them.

This Full Moon is part of a trilogy that started with the New Moon in Virgo on August 23 (read my previous update) and will end with another New Moon in Virgo with a Solar Eclipse on September 21.

At the previous New Moon at 0° Virgo, we looked more deeply into our daily routines, work, health, and public service—seeding new ideas and bringing new order to these themes. With this Full Moon at 15° Pisces and an eclipse on the Virgo–Pisces axis, we may be shown our illusions in these themes and where we have been avoiding truth.

The Lunar Eclipse on September 7 shines light on our shadow, dissolving and releasing what no longer aligns with our path or has outlived its purpose (Sun).

So—what needs to go? (This could be a karmic ending or purge.) The Moon on the North Node in Pisces pulls us toward destiny, compassion, and soul alignment. With the ruler of Pisces (Neptune) now retrograde in Aries, themes include reflecting on personal sovereignty—how we can empower and shift personal and collective ideals (Pisces) into courageous action (Aries).

The South Node in Virgo, with the Sun and Mercury, may bring mental overdrive, analysis, and anxiety. The task is to let go of perfection and control (Virgo) and step into devotion (Pisces) by choosing faithful service and surrender to higher forces.

Shadow themes to transmute:martyr/savior loops; spiritual bypassing (“love & light” instead of accountability); escapism/addictions; foggy commitments; avoidance of details; over-analysis (Virgo) vs. chaotic surrender (Pisces). Choose disciplined compassion.Saturn’s return to Pisces (see previous update) speaks of compassion with boundaries and devotional, integrated service.

Jupiter in Cancer trining the Moon and sextile to the Sun supports authenticity and may challenge our emotional security.

Its square to Mars in Libra (relationships, alliances) can initiate radical honesty, justice, and balance—prompting the hard conversations we’ve been avoiding.

Listen.

Venus in Leo, forming a quincunx to the Moon and a semisextile to the Sun, asks: Do we love ourselves—truly, as we are? If so, shine it.

If you have planets or angles at 12–18° of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), expect stronger influence—exposures or closures.

This Full Moon is extremely karmic and destiny-oriented; its ripples can be felt for up to six months.

On September 21 we will have a New Moon at 29° Virgo with a Solar Eclipse, which may bring us to the final chapter of this trilogy and offer understanding of this process—and, finally, a rebirth.
