On May 1st, we experience a Full Moon in Scorpio, the culmination of the New Moon in Scorpio from November 20th. This Full Moon shines a light on the hidden aspects of our being.
This is a very powerful lunation. Its ruler, Pluto, is conjunct asteroid Juno and trine Venus in Gemini. Together with Saturn in Aries, they form a potent Yod (the “Finger of God” pattern). Meanwhile, Mars in Aries squares Jupiter in Cancer, so there is a lot to unpack.
What feels fated or significant in my life right now?
Where am I being guided to pay closer attention?
With the Moon in Scorpio, we are invited to confront our shadows, our inner limitations, insecurities around resources, trauma, nourishment, and hidden emotions. We may revisit places where we experienced emotional shocks, betrayal, or disempowerment.
This is a powerful time for emotional honesty and deep introspection. By facing these parts of ourselves, we can begin to heal and reintegrate them, reclaiming our power and emotional security, especially in the intense times we are living in. If this energy is not handled consciously, it may manifest as obsession, manipulation, or distrust. We might feel a constant hunger for power, money, or intimacy, or fall into overly dependent or symbiotic attachments.
This is the realm of shared energy, through money, sex, trauma, or taboo.
What emotions or memories have I been avoiding?
Where do I feel a loss of power and why?
Am I acting from fear, control, or genuine emotional truth?
The Sun in Taurus offers grounding. It invites us to slow down, reconnect with our bodies, and reflect on what truly sustains life. This is a time to build something stable, tangible, and lasting, for ourselves and future generations.
There is a strong creative and artistic current here. We may feel called to work with our hands, connect with nature, or nurture something physical and meaningful. At the same time, Taurus energy can bring stubbornness. The evolutionary intention is to become self sufficient, to use our own resources wisely, and to create something enduring.
What truly makes me feel safe and supported?
How can I create more stability in my daily life?
Where might I be resisting change out of fear?
This Full Moon creates an opposition between our purpose (Sun in Taurus) and our emotional world (Moon in Scorpio). It may push us to break through limitations, trust our intuition, and become deeply aware of relationship dynamics.
We may feel imbalances between career and personal life.
Where in my life do I feel out of balance?
Am I honoring both my emotional needs and my responsibilities?
What is my intuition trying to tell me?
This is also a karmic portal for relationships, both existing ones and those we are seeking.
With Venus and Saturn in harmonious aspect, yet in tension with the Moon, we may encounter someone significant, perhaps older or younger, but mature and committed. There is potential for deep emotional bonding, commitment, and finding a partner with whom we can build something meaningful.
Trust and clarity of intention are essential here.
Existing relationships can deepen through honesty, vulnerability, and commitment. Simple acts of affection, touch, closeness, intimacy, can support emotional healing and reduce anxiety. (Think of Oxytocin, the “bonding hormone.”) We need physical connection.
At the same time, we may feel a strong need for love and support but struggle to express it. Saturn’s influence can bring feelings of loneliness, heaviness, or emotional restraint.
What does commitment truly mean to me?
Am I open to giving and receiving love fully?
Where do I hold back emotionally and why?
Juno conjunct Pluto in Aquarius forms a tense aspect to both the Moon and the Sun. This invites transformation in relationships and alliances upgrades where needed, or endings where necessary. Themes of independence versus shared resources come into focus.
On a global level, this may reflect shifts in alliances and shared resources such as oil, food, energy, and money-impacting trade, currency, and self sufficiency.
On a personal level, this lunation can strengthen relationships, making them more loyal and enduring. However, it may also ask us to revisit early emotional patterns, especially those shaped by parental or maternal dynamics. Were they nourishing enough, or perhaps overwhelming or unhealthy?
Because emotions may run deep, patience, trust, and loyalty are key.
What relationship patterns keep repeating in my life?
What did I learn about love growing up?
What am I ready to transform or release?
Mars in Aries squaring Jupiter in Cancer can amplify reactivity. We may feel defensive, impulsive, or ready to break away from family conditioning or inherited beliefs. For some, this may even manifest as separation from family ties.
This energy also invites reflection on our roots: how our ancestors coped with hardship, protected themselves emotionally, and fought for survival.
How do I react when I feel emotionally threatened?
What beliefs or patterns have I inherited from my family?
What does emotional safety mean to me?
Mercury conjunct Chiron in the final degree of Aries brings conversations around wounded identity, masculinity, self-worth, and the right to exist. It opens space for healing through communication and awareness, both personally and collectively.
Where do I feel unseen or unheard?
How can I express myself more honestly?
What part of my identity is asking for healing?
Hidden truths are coming to the surface, whether we are ready or not.
The Yod configuration suggests a sense of destiny or special mission tied to this Full Moon n Scorpio.
We may feel sensitive, overwhelmed, or uncertain, but with consistency, integrity, and emotional maturity, we can move toward deeper trust, meaningful communication, and re-empowerment in our relationships and future.
Misusing this energy, through manipulation, dishonesty, or control, may lead to breakdowns and endings.
What truth is becoming impossible to ignore?
How can I respond with integrity rather than fear?
What is this moment asking me to grow into?
This is an intense lunation. Take time to slow down, reflect, and gain perspective. Allow yourself to feel deeply, to listen inwardly, and to reconnect with the truth of your heart.
Your intuition will guide you... if you are willing to listen...
What is my heart truly asking for right now?
Am I willing to trust the process, even if it feels uncertain?
Depending on the position of this full moon in your horoscope, activation will occur in various areas of your life.
