New Moon in Aquarius with Solar Eclipse 17 February 2026
Ready for a reset you didn’t plan but secretly knew was coming?
The New Moon at 28°49’ Aquarius arrives with a Solar Eclipse and this isn’t just another monthly lunar moment. This is one of those cosmic turning points that feels… destined. Fated. Unavoidable.
This New Moon is sitting right next to Mars and Venus, heating everything up. Desire, action, tension, attraction.
And just three days later we walk straight into the monumental Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries. Click here to ready full extended article.
A conjunction the world hasn’t seen in Aries for nearly 300 years.
At the very first degree of the zodiac.
The point of absolute beginning.
A “start all over” moment. But the kind that asks:
are you really ready to begin again?
This degree has not hosted such a conjunction since the end of the matriarchal era and the beginning of the Bronze Age and patriarchal era, roughly 6,000 years ago.
So yes… this is big. Personal and collective.
17 of February is also Chinese New Year, this year is a Fire Horse.
Last time it was in 1966. Year of big social changes, civil rights movement, Vietnam War, cultural revolution and breakdown of long accepted hierarchies and system of authority.
Let’s talk about what’s already moving.
As I write this five days before the New Moon, Saturn sits in the final degrees of Pisces.
Can you feel it?
That strange mix of endings, disillusionment, and quiet revelations?
Masks slipping. Illusions dissolving. Authority figures, leaders, institutions, teachers, even spiritual figures, being exposed or questioned.
You may be asking yourself:
Who do I trust now?
What do I believe in now?
What feels ethically true, not just convenient?
Will anything really change globally?
Will justice come?
Or are we simply being asked to upgrade our own moral compass and move forward differently?
Time will reveal the answers, but the discomfort of seeing clearly is already here.
This New Moon at the final degree of Aquarius is not just about beginnings.
It’s about endings too. Closures that make space for a completely new timeline. It’s also the first in a series of Aquarius Solar Eclipse New Moons that will continue into 2027 and 2028.
Consider this the opening scene. The first whisper of a much bigger story.
So what is Aquarius asking of you?
To evolve. To zoom out. To see the bigger picture of your life and humanity.
Aquarius wants progress, justice, Innovation, higher awareness.
It wants you to rise above old emotional patterns and instinctive reactions and step into a more conscious version of yourself.
It asks:
Are you ready to think differently?
Live differently?
Connect differently?
You may find yourself drawn toward new communities, new friendships, new circles that feel more aligned with who you are becoming.
And at the same time, you may feel distance or even exclusion from groups you once belonged to. That’s not rejection, that’s redirection.
Aquarius upgrades the emotional system by inviting perspective. It teaches us to observe our emotions rather than drown in them. To see the bigger pattern. To detach just enough to move forward.
But there is a shadow here:
What happens when detachment becomes disconnection?
When intellect replaces heart?
When we become so “evolved” that we lose compassion?
That’s where superiority, control, and coldness can step in. The “mad scientist” archetype. The elite mindset. Progress without humanity.
So the real work now is balance mind and heart aligned.
Process your feelings. Don’t bypass them.
Breathe, move, rest, create, play gong, any instrument.
Let emotions flow through rather than clog your system.
Your nervous system will thank you.
Now add Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, currently in Taurus and squaring this New Moon Eclipse. Expect the unexpected.
This is destabilising, electric energy that can shake our value systems, finances, technology, relationships, even the sense of security you thought was stable.
Ask yourself honestly:
What do I truly value?
What feels secure and what only looked secure?
Where am I being asked to change?
With Venus conjunct the North Node in Pisces, themes of healing, forgiveness, health, and compassion rise strongly. Some may face changes in work, routines, or wellbeing, ending and beginning in relationships.
Others may experience sudden revelations that shift life direction entirely.
This energy says:
Simplify.
Let go.
Create.
Return to what actually matters.
Think outside the box.
Eclipses are fated doorways. They ask for surrender and conscious participation, riding a wave.
Flow with what emerges rather than forcing outcomes.
Try doing things differently. Respond instead of reacting.
On a more tangible level, as Neptune moves toward Aries and Uranus square the Aquarius energy, we may continue to experience extreme weather or natural events around the world.
Recent floods and storms in parts of southern Europe have already shown how quickly life structures can be shaken. And yet, within disruption, community rises. People support each other. Priorities shift. What once seemed important suddenly isn’t.
In my own neighbourhood, there has been significant damage from landslides, storms destroyed internal roads, houses, infrastructure.
People had to leave behind everything from one moment to the next.
Aquarius reminds us: community is survival. Connection is strength.
There is a profound rebuilding energy approaching with the Saturn Neptune conjunction in Aries. New foundations. New structures. New visions.
Some of us will literally rebuild our homes or lives. Others will rebuild internally, beliefs, identities, purpose.
So ask yourself:
What in your life needs rebuilding from the ground up?
What vision wants to be born through you now?
Who are your people as you move forward?
Mars conjunct this New Moon makes everything louder, sharper, more urgent.
It pushes for understanding, for action, for truth.
It says: lean on your allies. Seek clarity. Move toward a better future, but move wisely.
If you have planets around 27–29° of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio, or 7–10° of Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius, or Gemini, this eclipse may feel especially personal. You may feel push to shift direction.
This is a moment to stay present. To widen your perspective.
To not fear breaking old structures, especially the inner ones.
To challenge your own status quo.
Another eclipse arrives on 3 March, a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo, bringing the next chapter and both of them are always connected. Solar eclipse showing us purpose and direction of the change and Lunar eclipse (usually a bit more dramatic) push integration and change new vs old emotional attachments we have carried around the themes of the eclipses. But for now, pause here.
Look honestly at your life.
What is ending?
What is beginning?
And who are you becoming in between?
