New Moon in Taurus May16 2026

This New Moon takes place at the final degrees of Taurus, with the Sun and Moon conjunct Mercury, asteroid Ceres, and the Fixed Star Algol. During this lunation, Mars is also conjunct Chiron in Aries.

I will keep this update short and sweet, so let’s go straight into it.

This New Moon is a seeding point for a new six-month cycle that reconnects us to our purpose, nourishment, and personal values.

What do I truly value in my life?

Taurus values everything that is lasting and sustainable, endurance, self-sufficiency, resources, food, art, beauty, comfort, and stability. This lunation may bring a deeper understanding of what we truly love and what we need to nurture in order to become more self-sustainable and resourceful.

What does my body need in order to feel nourished and safe?

In the upcoming weeks, we may feel called to slow down and reflect more deeply on these themes.

This New Moon in Taurus is also a beautiful time to express love to the people closest to us. We may feel more open to asking our friends and loved ones how they truly feel. This is a time for heartfelt communication and emotional honesty.

Mars conjunct Chiron in Aries asks us to acknowledge our masculine wounds and take conscious action toward healing them. The sextile between Mars, Chiron, and Venus in Gemini motivates us to speak openly about love, relationships, and past emotional pain. It encourages us to think differently about our wounds and the experiences that shaped us. This is great aspect to heal a broken heart.

We may need to revisit our shadows and the “truths” we carry about love, partnerships, alliances, and intimacy. Some of these old narratives may no longer support the person we are becoming. We cannot continue building a new sense of self upon outdated emotional foundations.

An upgrade is necessary, both within our personal relationships and on a collective level.

The stubbornness of Taurus can help us maintain healthy boundaries and protect what is most valuable to us.

The conjunction with the Fixed Star Algol speaks of a powerful initiation into themes that may unfold over the next six months. Algol carries an intensely transformative energy that demands consciousness and emotional maturity. Its themes include destruction and rebirth, transformation through confronting darkness, reclaiming rejected parts of the self, and facing deeper questions of morality and power.

In many ways, this will be a time of shedding old skin and releasing layers that are no longer needed for future evolution. Algol moves very slowly and often manifests more strongly on the collective level than the personal one.

The mythology of Ceres, or Demeter in Greek mythology, tells the story of losing her daughter Persephone to the underworld. In grief, Demeter withdraws nourishment from the Earth, and the world becomes barren until Persephone partially returns.

Within this myth, we find themes of attachment, separation, grief, maternal devotion, cycles of loss and reunion, and emotional nourishment.

What truly feeds the soul?

Ceres is connected to food, agriculture, fertility, caregiving, and nourishment. With both Ceres and Algol in Taurus, this lunation may strongly activate themes surrounding comfort, stability, food, beauty, touch, resources, possessiveness, and over attachment.

On both a global and individual level, this New Moon may initiate a deeper understanding of what we truly need in order to survive and thrive.

Do we have enough food, water, resources, love, and emotional support to continue our journey?

What condition is my body in?

We are entering an important period of preparation, a time to slow down and reconnect with our real values.

How can I sustain my life, my health, and my family?

The upcoming summer bring several major astrological transits, including Chiron’s ingress into Taurus ( read extended article on this cycle). These energies may easily pull people away from their center during volatile times, which is why grounding ourselves becomes essential.

Slow down. Lie down on the meadow. Breathe deeply in and out.

Love Made Me - a New Song I want to share

When you lose someone or something you deeply love, you move through grief, pain, and loss until the moment you begin moving forward again, searching for love within yourself once more. This song is about that transition.

I wrote this song in December 2023, and since then I have traveled the world, sharing it with thousands of hearts during Concerts and Sound Ceremonies.

Last year, during a concert in Atlanta, USA, I performed this song with several other musicians, and Josh Klein’s trumpet added an entirely new dimension to it. In that moment, the song felt complete.
